"I needed to update my insurance carrier after a change with our prior carrier. Ruthchy Dessources at State Farm did an incredible job finding me replacement coverage that was better than my prior coverage and not nearly as expensive as other quotes I received. "I originally gave a positive review because my agent, Aristos, seemed helpful. But after signing up, State Farm raised my agreed rate. I was quoted $102/month with discounts for completing a defensive driving course ( paid $60 and sat through a grueling course for 6 hours) , signed up for the safe driving app ( tracks driving) and wrote two positive reviews .

Later, they increased it to $168, claiming the underwriter found “points,” even though I took the course to have that cleared. When I asked for written documentation showing how the premium was calculated, they refused. I wrote to Jon Farney , President and Chief Executive Officer of State Farm and received a letter back from Alan Wheeler which doubled down on his bait-and-switch . Would not recommend...waste of time."
